Substance Abuse Testing

With concerns about job safety and workplace productivity ever growing, Occumed Health Services actively partners with employers to ensure a drug-and alcohol-free workplace. Whether the workplace is substance-free on a voluntary or federally mandated basis, we work with employers to create customized, regulatory-compliant testing for pre-placement, random, reasonable cause, post-accident, return-to-duty, and follow-up applications.


Ensuring compliance with the U.S. Department of Transportation’s (DOT) various regulations and guidelines are a paramount objective for Occumed Health Services. Our clinical and account management staff are experts in helping companies obtain the compliance they need in order to smoothly and productively run their businesses.


In addition to providing substance-abuse testing of drivers and other transportation-related workers, we consult with companies about their testing needs and coordinate examinations at our locally-owned clinic. Our account managers work closely with corporate personnel to ensure that results are documented and certification is registered.

Our medical review officers have certifications from the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine (ACOEM) and Medical Review Officer (MRO) certification from the American Association of Medical Review Officers (AAMRO). This ensures timely review of drug screen results and employee contact to determine the results of the analysis.
